Here’s The Step-by-step On How To Set Up Your AmazonSmile:

Before setting this up, it’s important to know you’ll need to start visiting smile.amazon.com instead of simply amazon.com. This part is very important! Aside from the warm feeling of supporting your neighbors in need, supporting United Way of Gloucester County, the entire shopping experience is the same and most products available on amazon.com are available at AmazonSmile.

1. Sign In & Choose Your Charity
   Go to smile.amazon.com. The screen will look slightly different depending on whether or not you’re already signed into Amazon. Find the spot to pick your charity & simply search for “UWGCNJ”
2. Select UWGCNJ
   After signing in and searching for “UWGCNJ,” select United Way of Gloucester County – it should be at the top of the list.
3. Begin Shopping!
   Just make sure you’re shopping at smile.amazon.com (not amazon.com). Change your bookmark if you need to. Once you’ve selected your charity everything else functions the same. Shop for anything you might be looking for. Most products are eligible on AmazonSmile. If something isn’t eligible, you’ll get notified. You can checkout normally as well. No extra cost is passed onto you – Amazon will donate 0.5% of your purchase to UWGCNJ!
4. Share With Your Friends
   After you’ve successfully completed a purchase on Amazon Smile you can share the news with your friends on Facebook, Twitter or via email. This option appears on the confirmation page after your order is complete.

This tool is free to you whether you choose to include a gift to United Way or not, and can be used to create your full legal will, for free, or begin your plans before seeing a lawyer. It’s 100% free to you, and it takes less than 30 minutes. Plus, you can make changes for free at any time.

Already Have a Will? Make a QCD!

If you are at least 70.5 years old* and have a Traditional IRA, then you’re eligible to make a tax-free donation to United Way of Gloucester County directly from your IRA, also known as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD).

The year you turn 70.5, Traditional IRA holders must withdraw a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD). You can, however, satisfy your RMD requirement by making a QCD gift to United Way–it’s a gift that’s tax free, even if you don’t itemize deductions on your tax return. Learn more about QCDs and how you can use them to advance the common good of our community.
