Already Have a Will? Make a QCD!

If you are at least 70.5 years old* and have a Traditional IRA, then you’re eligible to make a tax-free donation to United Way of Gloucester County directly from your IRA, also known as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD).

The year you turn 70.5, Traditional IRA holders must withdraw a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD). You can, however, satisfy your RMD requirement by making a QCD gift to United Way–it’s a gift that’s tax free, even if you don’t itemize deductions on your tax return. Learn more about QCDs and how you can use them to advance the common good of our community.
