Honoring Leadership, Commitment, and Community Spirit
At this year’s Annual Volunteer Leadership Event, the United Way of Gloucester County is proud to recognize two remarkable individuals whose service and dedication have made a lasting impact on our organization and the communities we serve.
2024 Spirit of United Way Award Recipient: Christine Brown
Christine Brown, Business Development Officer on the Non-Profit & Government Team at Columbia Bank, is being honored with the 2024 Spirit of the United Way Award. Christine embodies the true spirit of the United Way through her active involvement in the nonprofit sector and her commitment to serving others. As a dedicated Board Member and advocate, Christine’s enthusiasm, generosity, and consistent support of United Way initiatives inspire those around her. Her passion for strengthening community partnerships and improving lives across Gloucester County makes her a deserving recipient of this recognition.
2024 Volunteer Leadership Award Recipient: Claire Riggs
Claire Riggs, Managing Partner of Riggs Creative Group LLC and a founding member of Leadership Gloucester County, is the recipient of the 2024 Volunteer Leadership Award. Claire has spent decades shaping the local community through strategic communications, public affairs, and a deep commitment to civic engagement. Her guidance as a board member, her role as 2024 Campaign Chair, and her tireless support for United Way programs and events reflect her exceptional leadership. Claire’s dedication to mentoring future leaders and fostering meaningful connections across sectors truly exemplifies the values of volunteerism and community service.
In addition to these special recognitions, we will celebrate the graduation of the inaugural Leadership Gloucester County class, recognize our generous campaign partners, board members, and supporters, and reflect on the collective impact made possible by those who choose to Live United.
