Meet the Leaders of Our 2025 Campaign: Karen Greene & Tara Levitt

The United Way of Gloucester County (UWGC) is excited to announce the leadership team for our 2025 Annual Fundraising Campaign, themed “Because of You.”

This year, we are proud to have Karen Greene serving as Campaign Chair, with Tara Levitt joining her as Campaign Vice Chair. Together, they bring a wealth of experience, passion, and dedication to leading this important effort for our community.

About Karen Greene – 2025 Campaign Chair

Karen Greene is no stranger to UWGC. A longtime donor, dedicated volunteer, and current Board Member, Karen has been actively involved with the organization for over 20 years. She recently retired as Chief Audit Executive from Cencora Corporation (formerly AmerisourceBergen) after more than three decades of service.

Reflecting on her journey with UWGC, Karen shared: “I have had the pleasure of working with the United Way of Gloucester County New Jersey for over twenty years. I have served on the Campaign Cabinet, the Board of Directors, and have sponsored campaigns in my workplace. This year I am honored to serve as the 2025 Campaign Chair as the United Way continues to support, partner, and strengthen the Gloucester County community.”

About Tara Levitt – 2025 Campaign Vice Chair

Joining Karen in leadership is Tara Levitt, an employee of GGB, a Timken Company, and a UWGC Board Member. Tara brings a strong background in corporate engagement and a deep commitment to making a positive impact in the community. Her energy and collaborative spirit make her an ideal partner in this year’s campaign.

Why “Because of You”?

Our 2025 campaign theme, “Because of You,” is a celebration of the power of people coming together…individuals, businesses, and organizations…who make real, lasting change possible in Gloucester County.

As Michael Gower, Executive Director of UWGC, puts it: “We are thrilled to have Karen and Tara leading the charge. Their passion, dedication, and leadership will inspire others to give, advocate, and volunteer for the causes that matter most to our community.”

How You Can Help

Funds raised during the 2025 campaign will directly support critical programs across Gloucester County—improving education, promoting financial stability, expanding access to health services, and ensuring families have the basic needs they deserve. The campaign officially kicks off this fall, and there will be plenty of opportunities for local businesses, community groups, and residents to get involved.
