The United Way of Gloucester County (UWGC) is pleased to announce that Claire Riggs will serve as its 2024 Campaign Chair, joined by Vice Chair Karen Greene. The pair bring extensive experience, energy, and ingenuity to increase individuals, companies, organizations, and local government’s engagement with United Way’s brand.
Claire Riggs, managing partner at Riggs Creative Group LLC and adjunct professor at Rowan University, marks 25 years of active involvement with the United Way of Gloucester County. Since 1999, she has volunteered on the marketing committee, Campaign Cabinet, and the Board of Directors, and was recognized with a Spirit of United Way award in 2006. Her company is a founding member of the LIVE UNITED 365 Small Business Circle, an easy, affordable, and effective way for companies with fewer than 35 employees to give back to their community. The program pools together contributions from members to fund mini-grants. Since 2015, this initiative has raised over $108,000 for 85 local programs. Riggs is also instrumental in the formation of Leadership Gloucester County, the United Way’s newest collaborative program with Rowan College of South Jersey and the County of Gloucester, that prepares next-generation leaders to grow in their careers and in community service roles.
Karen Greene is the retired SVP & Chief Audit Executive for Cencora, Inc. (formerly AmeriSourceBergen Corporation) who formerly sponsored the United Way workplace campaign for the Thorofare, NJ office. Karen was instrumental in the implementation of best practices in the workplace for over twelve years as well as securing sizable corporate gifts from her organization for multiple years. She has been actively involved with the United Way since 2006 and continues to serve on the Board of Directors, the Campaign Cabinet and the Community Impact Group.

The mission of the United Way of Gloucester County is to be the leader in building community capacity to foster individual well being. Through collaboration with the United Way, consumers and providers of health and human services in Gloucester County become more self-sufficient.
