On September 21st, United Way of Gloucester County (UWGC) was presented with a check in the amount of $10,354.00, representing donations collected at a benefit held at the Sugar Hill Inn in Mays Landing, for our Disaster Relief Fund for the victims of the September 1st devastation wrought by Hurricane Ida and its aftermath. The benefit was attended by about 120 people, and the proceeds of the event were presented to Michael Gower, Executive Director of UWGC, by “NorEaster” Nick Pittman of New Jersey Network News, and Xspero – a social giving network that makes it easy for people to support their favorite charities..
