2012 Volunteer Leadership Award

The Volunteer Leadership Award, our highest individual honor, recognizes long-term volunteer service and leadership to the United Way of Gloucester County. Created in 1984 by special action of the Board of Directors, the award is presented each year at the Volunteer Recognition Evening.

Recognizing his many years of service as a member and officer of the organization's Board of Directors, Richard A. Dann will receive the United Way's prestigious Volunteer Leadership Award. Mr. Dann is President of Communications Workers of America Local 1085.

Rich is currently serving as President and Chairman of the Operating Committee of United Way of Gloucester County, and has been a member of the Board of Directors since 1992. He has lent his time and talents to us as a fundraiser for the County of Gloucester's annual Employee Campaign and also as a volunteer allocator, helping to make the tough funding decisions. His dedication and commitment to the people of Gloucester County deserve our acknowledgement and recognition.
